Commercial Law

We routinely prepare and review contracts, and advise clients on disputes which arise during the ordinary course of business, for example, contractual rights following a breakdown in commercial relations and claims to protect a client's business and/or obtain compensation for loss caused by the wrongful acts of others. We also handle complex breaches of contract, often involving cross border disputes. We advise on practical remedies to such disputes whether by way of negotiation, litigation or arbitration. Recent work includes structuring and reviewing distribution arrangements and financing. We take a pro-active approach to matters relating to our clients, advising on contractual terms and conditions at pre-agreement stages, highlighting in advance the potential conflict areas. We also advise clients on intellectual property matters and undertake registration of intellectual property rights in Bangladesh. Clients include Abdul Monem Limited, Godrej, Samsung, and Holcim.
